On April 1st, the president and governer visited the plant along with some newspeople. This reassured that it was safe, as even the president went in.
On April 6th, the officials told everyone that the "crisis had passed" and it was safe to go back now.
On October 25/26th, the Nuclear Regulatory Commision fined the company in charge the maximum possible fine for such an event.
July 23: A person entered the TMI-2 reactor room, the first since the partial meltdown.
